by Editorial Staff

Peraton has been awarded a $196 million contract to support the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) and its Global Cyber Center (GCC). This significant milestone underscores Peraton’s pivotal role in advancing the Army’s digital modernization and strengthening national cyber defenses. The GCC functions as the Army’s central hub for cyber operations, operating 24/7 under NETCOM to coordinate global mission command and defend the entire Army enterprise.

Under this contract, Peraton will consolidate and streamline defensive cyber operations to enhance the Army’s global cyber posture. A core responsibility includes operating and securing the Army’s critical network environments, NIPRNet and SIPRNet, which form the backbone of its unclassified and classified communications. The scope of work is extensive, encompassing the sustainment of enterprise-level infrastructure and support for a vast array of software, hardware, applications, and tools across the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN). This mission involves securing one of the world’s largest and most complex IT networks, spanning hundreds of thousands of users and systems.

The contract also includes support for key global nodes, such as the GCC Point of Presence in Southwest Asia, and allows for future mission expansion to meet emerging operational requirements. Leveraging more than a decade of direct experience with Army cyberspace initiatives, Peraton will provide essential personnel and comprehensive services to ensure mission readiness and protect national security. This partnership is crucial for delivering resilient, real-time cyber capabilities to the warfighter, ensuring U.S. military forces remain agile and secure within the evolving cyber threat landscape.
