My journey in the aviation industry began with my training at the esteemed National Defense Academy, where I laid the foundation for my career as a Pilot and Flight Instructor in the Indian Air Force. Subsequently, I pursued advanced training as an Experimental Test Pilot at the renowned French Test Pilot School (EPNER), where I played a pivotal role in the Dhruv helicopter project, collaborating closely with Eurocopter and HAL. Additionally, I have amassed extensive experience as a VVIP pilot and have contributed significantly to the establishment and growth of startup Charter Aviation Companies in both India and the UAE.
Transitioning to Falcon Aviation, I assumed the role of CEO, drawing upon over 40 years of diverse experience to oversee both local and international operations. In this capacity, I have focused on delivering technology-driven aviation services, ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
What inspired you to transition from military flying to commercial aviation, and how has this shift influenced your approach to leadership in the industry?
My decision to transition from military to commercial aviation was driven by a desire to broaden my horizons and contribute to a wider range of aviation services. This shift has significantly influenced my approach to leadership within the industry.
In particular, it has reinforced the importance of prioritizing safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. These principles are fundamental in both military and commercial aviation settings, and my experience in both domains has allowed me to integrate them seamlessly into my leadership style.

During my tenure at Falcon Aviation, we have made significant strides in advancing technological capabilities and driving strategic growth. Some key milestones and achievements include the introduction of cutting-edge technologies aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. Additionally, we have successfully expanded our service portfolio to cater to diverse sectors, including VVIP, Commercial charter, aircraft management, MRO, Oil & Gas Aviation Transport, Helicopter sightseeing tours among others.
Furthermore, our strategic partnerships have played a crucial role in strengthening our market position and enabling us to deliver innovative solutions to our clients. One notable achievement worth mentioning is our pioneering initiatives in the realm of urban air mobility, particularly in the development and launch of EVTOL operations in the UAE. We are proud to lead the way in collaborating with renowned OEMs to bring this transformative technology to fruition by 2025. These milestones underscore our commitment to driving sustained growth and success while embracing innovation in the aviation industry.

With over 46 years of experience in aviation, what have been the most significant challenges you’ve faced, and how have you overcome them?
Throughout my career, I’ve encountered various challenges, ranging from operational complexities, Pandemic to market fluctuations. However, through strategic planning, effective risk management, and a resilient mindset, we have been able to navigate these challenges successfully, turning them into opportunities for growth and innovation.
As a seasoned pilot and CEO, what do you believe are the essential qualities for success in the aviation industry, both in the air and on the ground?

Sustainability lies at the heart of Falcon Aviation’s operations. We are deeply committed to integrating environmental considerations into every aspect of our business. To this end, we prioritize the adoption of environmentally friendly practices across our operations.
This includes investing in fuel-efficient aircraft and optimizing flight routes to minimize emissions. We’ve also embraced digitalization by transitioning to paperless offices, hangars, and cockpits, reducing our reliance on traditional resources, and minimizing our environmental impact.
Moreover, we are actively pursuing innovative solutions, such as the adoption of alternative fuels and sustainable aviation technologies. On the sidelines of COP28 we did the first test flight to demonstrate the potential for converting Methanol to SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel).
By exploring these avenues, we aim to further reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to a greener, more sustainable future for aviation.
