IDV, a Leonardo company, has launched a new production line for the LMV-BR 2 4×4 multirole vehicle at its Sete Lagoas, Minas Gerais facility. The first units will fulfill a Brazilian Army contract for 420 vehicles. Based on IDV’s proven LMV platform, the LMV-BR 2 enhances mobility, protection, and versatility for diverse missions. Brazilian Army High Command generals attended the inauguration. The line boosts IDV’s technological capacity in Brazil, reinforcing the nation’s defence industrial base. The Brazilian Army already operates 32 LMV-BR vehicles with IDV support, achieving high reliability. Beyond the domestic market, the line supports global exports, positioning Brazil as a defence vehicle hub. Over 4,000 LMV units serve worldwide in multiple variants.
