Australia’s leading regional airline, Airnorth, has reinforced its decade-long collaboration with Brazilian aerospace manufacturer Embraer by signing a new, multi-year fleet support agreement. The deal, secured under Embraer’s comprehensive Pool Program, will see the OEM provide extensive maintenance, repair, and spare-parts services for Airnorth’s fleet of E170 and E190 aircraft.

The renewed partnership underscores Airnorth’s commitment to maintaining operational excellence as it navigates some of the most remote and challenging air routes in Northern Australia and beyond. By leveraging Embraer’s global supply chain and technical expertise, the airline aims to optimize fleet performance while minimizing downtime.

Bradley Norrish, Supply Chain Manager at Airnorth, emphasized that the agreement is critical to the airline’s mission of connecting isolated communities safely and efficiently. He noted that having direct access to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) support allows the carrier to reduce costs and streamline logistics. “This arrangement ensures that our aircraft are supported by the highest level of technical proficiency,” Norrish stated. “It provides us with rapid access to critical components and specialized knowledge, which is essential for maintaining the rigorous standards our passengers expect. It ultimately allows us to focus on what we do best: delivering reliable air travel to the region.”

The Pool Program is designed to offer airlines predictable cost structures and high service levels by placing Embraer’s vast inventory of repairable items and parts at their fingertips. For a regional operator like Airnorth, this translates into fewer delays and a stronger focus on schedule integrity.

Embraer Services & President and CEO Carlos Naufel expressed pride in the ongoing relationship, highlighting the unique operational environment in which Airnorth operates. “This agreement represents more than just a commercial transaction; it is a testament to a partnership built on trust and shared goals,” Naufel said. “Airnorth performs a vital role in the Australian landscape, and our dedicated support network is here to ensure their E-Jets continue to perform reliably under demanding conditions. We look forward to supporting their growth and operational needs for years to come.”

The extended agreement ensures that Airnorth will continue to benefit from Embraer’s evolving service portfolio, guaranteeing that its regional jets remain a cornerstone of its operational strategy.
