At the upcoming Dubai Airshow 2025, Rostec State Corporation is set for a major unveiling, presenting a diverse array of its advanced aerospace and defense technology. The international debut of several key platforms will highlight Russia’s self-sufficient industrial capabilities.
Making its Middle Eastern debut, the Su-57E fifth-generation fighter jet will perform an aerobatic display. This aircraft, proven in large-scale combat, is characterized by its low radar visibility and ability to employ a wide range of precision guided weapons. Another significant first is the upgraded Yak-130M jet trainer and combat aircraft. Produced by United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), it features a new aviation weapons system and enhanced airborne equipment, enabling it to train pilots for advanced fighters and execute strike missions day or night.
The world will also see the premiere of the fully domestic Ansat-M light multipurpose helicopter. Built by Russian Helicopters, it is now powered by Russian VK-650V engines from United Engine Corporation. This upgrade includes a new fuselage and advanced systems, offering a spacious cabin and high maneuverability for operations in dense urban environments. The Ka-52 reconnaissance and attack helicopter will also demonstrate its unique flight capabilities, including high-speed lateral movement and steep dives, thanks to its coaxial rotor design.
Rostec’s CEO, Sergey Chemezov, emphasized that their products, free from foreign components, are sought after globally due to their state-of-the-art performance and proven operational track record. The static display will feature the Il-76MD-90A(E) military transport aircraft and the Ka-32A11M transport helicopter.
Beyond airframes, the exhibition will showcase next-generation aircraft engines, sophisticated air defense systems, and modern navigation systems. A comprehensive range of munitions will be displayed, including unguided and guided air-launched missiles, high-explosive fragmentation bombs, and powerful bunker-busting bombs. The Russian display, featuring exhibits from key Rostec subsidiaries like High-Precision Systems and KRET, underscores the corporation’s extensive and integrated technological portfolio.
