The Vietnam Helicopter Corporation (VNH) is modernizing its heavy-lift capacity through its subsidiaries, VNH South and VNH North, which have ordered three Airbus H225 helicopters. The acquisition supports the expansion of offshore energy operations while progressively replacing aging fleet assets. This order deepens a 40-year partnership with Airbus Helicopters. “The H225 has proven itself time and again across our offshore missions,” said VNH CEO Kieu Dang Hung, citing reliability, performance, and safety as the helicopter becomes the backbone of VNH’s future fleet. Airbus Helicopters CEO Matthieu Louvot noted the H225’s exceptional performance in demanding offshore environments, emphasizing a shared commitment to mission success. The new H225s will join VNH’s existing Super Puma and H155 helicopters for offshore energy transport, utility missions, search and rescue, and broader transport duties. Known for high performance in challenging conditions, the H225 offers outstanding range, payload capacity, advanced avionics, and autopilot systems that increase safety and reduce pilot workload. Globally, over 360 H225s and H225Ms have logged more than one million flight hours, serving military customers including Brazil, France, Hungary, Indonesia, Iraq, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Singapore, and Thailand.
