Fokker Services Group (FSG) has secured a significant, long-term extension of its partnership with Air Nostrum Engineering and Maintenance (ANEM). The new agreement, a comprehensive power-by-the-hour (PBH) contract, expands the scope of support for Air Nostrum’s entire fleet of 30 Mitsubishi CRJ NG aircraft, which are operated out of Valencia, Spain.
Moving beyond the previous support framework, this renewed collaboration represents a deeper integration between the two companies. The contract is structured around FSG’s established ABACUS Program, tailored specifically to meet the operational demands of ANEM. This “nose-to-tail” solution is designed to provide complete component care, including maintenance services, inventory leasing, and round-the-clock operational support.
The primary goal of the enhanced agreement is to provide Air Nostrum with predictable cost control and heightened dispatch reliability. By leveraging the ABACUS program, FSG aims to ensure that ANEM benefits from guaranteed parts availability and optimized inventory management, allowing the airline to focus on its core passenger operations without the burden of supply chain disruptions.
Fermin Tirado, Managing Director of ANEM, emphasized the value of the renewed collaboration. He noted that the decision to expand the partnership was driven by a prior positive experience and FSG’s proven track record in regional aircraft support. Tirado highlighted that the efficiency and flexibility offered by the ABACUS program are vital for maintaining the high standards required for their customer operations.
