Anduril’s Effects system enhances and expands US Army Apache capabilities.

by Editorial Staff

An AH-64E Apache helicopter launched the Altius 700 for the first time last month at Yuma Proving Ground during CFWE26. The rocket-powered launch combined Apache maneuverability with Altius-700’s long range, enhancing situational awareness and strike capabilities for Army aviators. U.S. Army DEVCOM AvMC personnel executed the airborne launch, demonstrating how launched effects expand reach, lethality, and sensing. Anduril has worked with DEVCOM AvMC to integrate launched effects onto Army platforms, with Altius 700 serving as the testbed for a new universal launch system enabling low-altitude rotary-wing launches. This follows September 2025 Blackhawk launches of Altius 700s. Successful integrations with both Blackhawks and Apaches support missions from combat support and search-and-rescue to armed reconnaissance and anti-artillery. Manned-unmanned teaming gives Army leaders autonomous, rapidly deployable tools for multiple missions. The event reflects close Army-industry collaboration to test needed capabilities. Altius family combines long range, payload, and multi-domain launch, with Altius-700 building on prior Altius-600 launches from Blackhawks since 2020.
