Juneyao Group, a leading Chinese aviation company, has entered an exclusive, long-term agreement with Lufthansa Technik for comprehensive CFM56 engine overhaul services. This landmark partnership, the first of its kind between the two companies, represents Lufthansa Technik’s largest engine services commitment in China.
The agreement covers over 40 engine events for Juneyao Air and its low-fare subsidiary, 9 Air. It includes overhauls, condition monitoring, and engineering consultation for the combined fleet of CFM56-5B and CFM56-7B engines. Services will be performed at Lufthansa Technik’s Hamburg facility.
Building on over a decade of collaboration in areas such as component maintenance and mobile engine services, this new agreement extends the cooperation into full engine overhaul support.
“We require a dependable partner to support our high-performance operations, especially during peak travel periods,” said Junjin Wang, Chairman of Juneyao Group. “Based on numerous positive experiences with Lufthansa Technik, we have placed our trust in their expertise.”
Dennis Kohr, Senior Vice President Corporate Sales Asia Pacific at Lufthansa Technik, added: “Winning Juneyao Group as our partner is a tremendous milestone. This partnership demonstrates the trust one of China’s most dynamic aviation groups places in our engine maintenance expertise.
