GA Telesis Engine Services (GATES), the MRO subsidiary of GA Telesis LLC, has secured a contract from Garuda Indonesia Group to overhaul CFM56-7B engines powering its Boeing 737 NG fleet. The agreement follows a competitive RFP process. The first engine is en route to GATES’s Helsinki facility for performance restoration.

“We are honored that Garuda has entrusted us with its critical engine assets,” said Gunnar Sigurfinnsson, President of GATES. “Our Helsinki facility delivers the technical precision and turnaround times a premier carrier requires.”

Avinash Singh, VP of Sales – APAC and MEA, noted the win underscores GATES’s value in the Asia-Pacific region. “Seeing the first engine on its way marks the beginning of a prosperous partnership with Indonesia’s national carrier.”

Pak Mukhtaris, Director of Maintenance at Garuda Indonesia, stated: “We are happy to entrust our critical engine assets to a global player like GA Telesis. Their reputation for quality and flexible, high-standard MRO services align with our commitment to safety and operational excellence.”
