Embraer and Airlink have solidified their long-standing partnership by signing a significant Component Pool Program agreement. This new contract extends Embraer’s comprehensive support services to cover ten new Embraer E195-E2 jets that Airlink is acquiring through a series of leases with Azorra. This strategic move ensures that Airlink’s entire all-Embraer fleet, which will ultimately comprise 78 aircraft, benefits from the efficiencies and reliability of the program. The expansion of this agreement underscores a shared commitment to operational excellence and fleet optimization in the competitive regional aviation market.
The Embraer Pool Program is a cornerstone of the company’s support offering, designed to provide airlines with significant savings and enhanced operational performance. By leveraging Embraer’s technical expertise and global services network, the program reduces fleet downtime and minimizes the costs associated with component repair and inventory holding. For an airline like Airlink, which operates an extensive network of 47 destinations across 15 Southern and East African countries, this guaranteed support is crucial for maintaining high levels of operational reliability and aircraft availability. The program allows carriers to focus on their commercial objectives without the burden of managing extensive spare parts inventories.
Airlink’s CEO, de Villiers Engelbrecht, emphasized that the expanded component inventory agreement provides the security needed for the successful deployment of the new E195-E2s. This support is vital for achieving the maximum operational, commercial, and economic benefits expected from the fleet modernization initiative. The E2 jets, known for their innovation and efficiency, represent a major step forward for Airlink’s growth strategy in the region.
Carlos Naufel, President and CEO of Embraer Services & Support, echoed this sentiment, expressing pride in supporting Airlink’s E2 operations. He reaffirmed Embraer’s dedication to empowering its customers with advanced industry solutions, highlighting the trust Airlink has consistently placed in Embraer’s aircraft and services. This agreement not only reinforces the strong relationship between the two companies but also exemplifies the critical role of tailored Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) solutions in supporting airline expansion and ensuring long-term success in the dynamic aerospace industry.
